§ Miss Margaret JacksonIn 1977, the earliest year for which the information is available, 87 proposals to close primary schools in England were approved under Section 13 of the Education Act 1944, as amended. So far, 14 proposals have been approved this year. Matters relating to Wales are for my right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State for Wales.
