§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Lord President of the Council whether he is aware that Members of Parliament's salaries have been and are fully below the cost of living index figures, the average increases in wage levels and the average earnings; and whether he will now increase them by 10 per cent. or a minimum of 9.2 per cent.
§ Mr. FootI appreciate my hon. Friend's observations; however, under the 12-month rule, Members' salaries are not due to be reviewed until June.
