§ Mr. Carter-Jonesasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will ask the appropriate part of his Department to speed up its evaluation tests on equipment for severely handicapped people, so that such equipment can be made available at an early date; and if he will make a statement on such evaluations.
§ Mr. Alfred MorrisOnly a small proportion of the total number of evaluations of such equipment is carried out directly by my Department. Such evaluations can by their nature be protracted but are carried forward as quickly as resources allow.
I shall be very glad to look into any particular case about which my hon. Friend is concerned.
