HC Deb 05 April 1978 vol 947 cc125-6W
Mr. Patrick Jenkin

asked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection if he is satisfied that there is no danger as a result of the misuse by sniffing of Zoff plaster remover, which is freely available at pharmacies; and if he will make a statement.

I do not consider that it would be practicable to prevent misuse by sniffing by imposing controls over the many products which lend themselves to it, and more harm than good may well be done by identifying the individual products which can be abused. However, young people should

for low transatlantic fares for destinations other than New York were the need to ensure that long-term considerations of efficiency, safety and the ability to invest in new and quieter aircraft were not impaired, what change in these factors has subsequently led to the Government's decision to accept the proposals.

Mr. Clinton Davis

I shall reply to the hon. Member as soon as possible.
