asked the Secretary of State for Trade if he will take action against Irish nationals who buy in complete Japanese lorries and, by assembling them within the Community, circumvent the voluntary agreement between Great Britain and Japan about the sale of lorries on the British market.

There have been no substantial imports into the United Kingdom from the Irish Republic of the vehicles described in the Question.
