Friend the Member for Peterborough (Mr. Ward) on 18th November.—[Vol. 939, c.419–20]—All local education authorities have been invited to seek allocations from the £17 million earmarked for the special programme to assist reorganisation on comprehensive lines. These allocations will be made in respect of projects which will enable reorganisation to proceed and which will enable reorganisation to be fully effective in educational terms. The extra £2.5 million for special education and £0.6 million for nursery education will enable more of the bids already received to be included in those programmes.
