§ Mr. Sproatasked the Secretary of State for Employment what percentage of the total amount of money available to the Manpower Services Commission is used in the wages of members of the Manpower Services Commission and in all costs of running the Commission, respectively; and what is this sum in cash terms.
§ Mr. GoldingI am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that the salary of the chairman plus the salaries and fees of members of the Commission will cost about £32,000 in the 1977–78 financial year. Travelling and subsistence allowances and other costs of Commission meetings are expected to be £10,000 in the same period. These sums represent 0.00068 per cent. and 0.00021 per cent. respectively of the Commission grant-in-Aid for 1977–78.
