§ Mr. Sproatasked the Secretary of State for Employment how many persons who left school in the current year are now signing on as unemployed in the Aberdeen travel-to-work area; and how many are male and how many female.
§ Mr. Gregor MacKenzieI have been asked to reply.
At the latest available count, on 13th October 1977, 76 school leavers were registered as unemployed in the Aberdeen travel-to-work area, of whom 36 were male. It is estimated that about one-third of the boys and one-half of the girls left school this summer.
