§ Mr. Woofasked the Secretary of State for Employment, in view of the chest ailments from the effects of toxic fumes in the boiler-making industry, if he will list the amount of medical research being carried out by Government establishments which are designed to combat such ailments.
§ Mr. John GrantI understand from the Chairman of the Health and Safety Commission that the Employment Medical Advisory Service is beginning a local study of welders in the North-East Region. Studies of dockyard workers are also being undertaken under the auspices of the Institute of Naval Medicine.
