§ Miss Margaret JacksonIt is an essential part of a school's normal work to keep educational records, and on request to provide references for prospective employers. It is for individual local education authorities to decide on the form, content and availability of the records kept in schools. As part of the wider review of their curricular activities occasioned by the recent Green Paper "Education in Schools: a Consultative Document", we will shortly be asking local education authorities to examine and report on their existing record-keeping practices.
