HC Deb 15 November 1977 vol 939 cc131-2W
Mr. Dodsworth

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will review the powers of the Medicines Commission laid down in the Medicines Act 1968 to promote closer liaison between the Commission and the relevant professional representatives; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Moyle

The Medicines Commission is so constituted that its members have wide and recent experience of acti- vities relevant to the Medicines Act; and the Act does not preclude close contact with representatives of relevant professions. I am confident that the Commission exercises its powers satisfactorily.
