HC Deb 15 November 1977 vol 939 c193W
Mr. Rathbone

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the current total Civil List provision; what this represents in cost per head per year to the population of the United Kingdom; and to what amounts the total cost is offset by income made over to the Treasury from the Crown Estates.

Mr. Healey

The annual amount currently payable under the Civil List Acts for the Queen's Civil List and for other members of the Royal Family is £2,405,000 representing about 4p in cost per head of the population of the United Kingdom. In 1976–77 the amount received from the Crown Estates was £5 million.
