§ Mr. Fernyhoughasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if, in the light of the anti-discrimination legislation introduced in recent years, he will take steps to allow wives to travel freely alone on a joint passport as husbands are so entitled.
§ Mr. LuardThere is no discrimination involved in this matter. Since October 1973 a family passport may be issued to either a husband or a wife, with the other spouse included on it.
