§ Mr. Jayasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether all agricultural levies on imports into the United Kingdom imposed as a consequence of the Treaty of Accession with the EEC are paid into the EEC Budget.
§ Mr. Joel BarnettUnder Article 2 of the decision of 21st April 1970 on the replacement of financial contributions from member States by the Communities' own resources, revenue from agricultural levies constitutes own resources to be entered in the budget of the Communities. The United Kingdom has been contributing to the Community budget under the above decision since 1973, subject to the limitation laid down in Article 130 of the Treaty of Accession.
