§ Mr. Hicksasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the current position with regard to the production by the Royal Mint of crown pieces commissioned to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen; and when it is hoped to deliver the order placed by the town mayor of Torpoint on behalf of the town's Jubilee Committee.
§ Mr. Denzil DaviesThe Royal Mint has already distributed over 18 million cupronickel crown pieces to banks and post offices and it is expected that the total issues will exceed 20 million by jubilee week. Distribution to the public is made by the banks and post offices, and queries concerning individual orders should be addressed to the bank or post office concerned.
