§ Lord PEARTThe Law Lords, the English Law Officers, the Lord Advocate and the Treasury Solicitor and their respective staffs carried out part of the normal duties of their respective offices and received no fee or additional fee. Payments to junior counsel to the Crown borne on public funds are estimated at £500 plus VAT. The cost of shorthand writing was £580. The cost of printing and publishing the proceedings is estimated at £5,070.
