HC Deb 23 May 1977 vol 932 cc335-6W
50. Mr. Evelyn King

asked the Lord President of the Council what is the cost under present arrangements of printing a single menu in the Members' Dining Room; and if in future he will arrange for competitive estimates to be sought.

Dr. Reginald Bennett

I have been asked to reply.

The menus cost about 58p and 14p for the table d'hote and a la carte menus respectively. The printing is carried out by the Stationery Office. No charge for this service falls on the accounts of the Refreshment Department. Therefore, the question of seeking competitive estimates does not arise.
