The table shows the number of fully or provisionally registered civilian doctors leaving and returning to Great Britain during the years 1966 to 1974. Information about subsequent years is contained in my right hon. Friend's reply to the hon. Member for Totnes (Mr. Mawby) on 8th March, Vol. 927, c.482. Temporarily registered doctors are not included in the table, and all figures are subject to amendment as more information becomes available. Information available about consultants is limited to their stated intentions when leaving the NHS and I would refer the hon. Gentleman to my reply to his other Question on this point today.
