Mr. Wall

asked the Secretary of State for Energy whether, under any treaty with the USSR, he has received information on any Russian scheme to extract petroleum from coal; and whether the exchange of such information is the subject of any agreement between Her Majesty's Government and the USSR.

The answer to both Questions is "No", but I should be glad to know if the hon. Gentleman has any particular suggestion to make in this matter.
