§ Mr. Beithasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what is her policy with regard to the recognition of the licence of the University College at Buckingham as a qualification for grant awards to students who have been accepted for postgraduate study; and whether she will make a statement.
§ Mr. OakesPostgraduate studentships from my Department are normally awarded only to holders of a degree of a British university established by charter or Act of Parliament, or validated by the Council for National Academic 245W Awards. Other candidates may be considered exceptionally in the light of the recommendations of the university or other institution sponsoring them.
