§ Mr. OakesThe proposals announced by my center hon. Friend on 24th January provide for further consideration to be given to the organisation of five teacher training institutions maintained by the Inner London Education Authority, including Shoreditch College. Discussions are taking place between the authority and the university about a possible merger, but the authority has not yet submitted any formal proposal.
