§ Mr. Alexander Fletcherasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he is satisfied that the provision for the treatment of schizophrenics in Scotland is equal to that which exists in England; and, if not, what steps he is taking to remedy this situation.
§ Mr. Harry EwingFacilities for the treatment of schizophrenics are part of the general facilities for the treatment of the mentally ill. It is difficult to compare standards of treatment between two parts of the United Kingdom, but I have no reason to believe that facilities for the treatment of schizophrenics in Scotland are in general less good than those in England. However, if there are any particular points which the hon. Member has in mind perhaps he will write to me.
