HC Deb 03 May 1977 vol 931 cc90-1W
Mr. Michael Marshall

asked the Secretary of State for Industry how many firms in each county unsuccessfully applied for industrial development certificates during the last 12 months.

Mr. Cryer

During the 12 months to 31st March 1977 three applications for industrial development certificates for Greater London and one application for each of the counties of Avon, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Leicestershire and West Midlands were unsuccessful. These included two applications in respect of projects for the replacement of obsolete factories which did not fully satisfy the criteria for such schemes.
