asked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will list the various training and retraining schemes now in operation and the number if people on them in (a) the North-West, (b) Merseyside, (c) Kirkby and (d) Ormskirk.

Those courses in the list currently running at skill-centres in the Merseyside and Kirkby areas respectively have been separately identified.

A similar list of courses currently running outside skillcentres is not obtainable other than at disproportionate cost.

The following table shows the numbers of trainees in training, broken down by type of training institution, for the North West and Merseyside areas respectively, at the end of February 1977, the latest date for which information is available.
