§ Dr. Reginald Bennettasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what, in the light of the replies, Official Report, 17th February, columns 319–20 and 1st March, column 127, is now likely to be 202W the progress toward cleaning the windows of the river frontage of the Principal Floor of the Palace of Westminster.
§ Mr. MarksThese windows have been cleaned as thoroughly as possible. For safety reasons the higher panes could not be cleaned on the outside. This will be possible when the Department's long-term programme of window renovation is carried out. My officials are considering whether alternative interim cleaning arrangements can be made.
