§ 36. Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if she will give an estimate of the number of teachers who will graduate from teacher training colleges in 1977; and how many teachers are expected to retire or leave the service.

There are too many uncertainties to enable reliable estimates to be made of the number of teachers who will retire or leave the service for other reasons.
