asked the Secretary of State for Trade what representations he has received against the building of a fourth terminal at Heathrow Airport; and if he intends to conduct a public inquiry before starting proceedings.

I have received a number of letters opposing the building of a fourth terminal at Heathrow, which is currently the subject of consultations between the British Airports Authority and the local planning authorities. The question of a public inquiry is a matter
