HC Deb 14 March 1977 vol 928 cc70-1W
Mr. Terry Walker

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he envisages any changes in the constitution of the Island of Dominica; and whether any negotiations have taken place involving Her Majesty's Government.

Mr. Rowlands

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply I gave to the hon. Member for Moray and Nairn (Mrs. Ewing) on 12th January. Since that date representatives of the Government and Opposition in Dominica have accepted an invitation to meet me in London on 23rd March for preliminary discussion of the Dominica Government's proposals for independence.
