HC Deb 14 March 1977 vol 928 c68W
Mr. Dodsworth

asked the Secretary of State for Trade if, pursuant to his answer of 23rd February 1977, he will publish in the Official Report a breakdown of the amounts and sources of finance available to the Companies Registration Office in Cardiff for the latest available annual period; and whether detailed annual accounts are produced and published.

Mr. Clinton Davis

As stated in my reply on 23rd February, total receipts for the Companies Registration Office for the calendar year 1976 amounted to £12.3 million. This comprised:

£ million
Registration of new incorporations 2.7
Registration of changes of name .5
Registration of annual returns 8.9
Inspection fees .1
Fees for the provision of copies and certificates and miscellaneous receipts .1
Total £12.3

It is not practicable to provide separate figures for the Cardiff Office.

A tabulation showing revenue from fees for registrations, inspections and the provision of copies is included in the Department's annual report on companies.
