§ Mr. Ron Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will list the organisations he has met to date in order to discuss their submissions in response to the Transport Policy Consultation Document; and if he will indicate the dates on which he met them, whether he met them singly or jointly with other organisations, and the duration of the meetings.
§ Mr. William RodgersMy hon. Friend and I have met a wide range of the major organisations concerned with transfort—covering nationalised and private sector transport industries; transport unions; local authority associations; political parties; and consumer, environmental, planning and other interests. Most discussions took place in the two months period before Christmas 1976. Some organisations were seen jointly, and, in a few cases, bodies represented several constituent interests.
