§ Mr. Peter Millsasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what is the total cost of improving the recreational facilities for prisoners at Dartmoor Prison, Princetown.
§ Mr. JohnThe estimated cost of improvements to the physical recreational 267W amenities is approximately £16,000, which includes some £5,000 in respect of the cost of a compressed felt floor covering required in order that a recreational area might safely be used as a gymnasium. Dartmoor Prison was built over 150 years ago, and from time to time some modernisation must, of course, take place.
