HC Deb 24 June 1977 vol 933 c633W
Mr. Hugh Jenkins

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what action he proposes to take in regard to the Wimbledon and Putney Commons conservators in consequence of the correspondence with Mr. Wright, a constituent of the hon. Member for Putney.

Mr. Marks

None. Mr. Wright drew attention to an excess in the rates levied by the conservators, who were acting on erroneous advice concerning the decimalisation of the statutory maximum commons rates. The conservators have since reduced their rate call and announced measures to deal with any overpayments which have been made.
