HC Deb 23 June 1977 vol 933 c515W
Mr. Skeet

asked the Secretary of State for Energy what percentage of total sales of coal to domestic consumers is now taken up by existing concessionary coal schemes; and what will be the position if the proposed national scheme is implemented.

Mr. Eadie

At present, coal provided under the local concessionary coal schemes accounts for some 20 per cent. of total disposals to domestic consumers. The proposed national scheme would not be expected to alter this proportion significantly.
