§ Q18. Mr. Whiteheadasked the Prime Minister if he will publish his recent correspondence with Professor O. R. McGregor on the scope of the forthcoming report of the Royal Commission on the Press.
§ The Prime MinisterOn 25th May I met Professor McGregor and asked him to consult with the members of the Royal Commission on the Press about whether the issues raised by theDaily Mailstory about British Leyland were adequately covered in their report; but I did not write to Professor McGregor on this matter. I understand from Professor McGregor that the Royal Commission has decided to add a section to its report dealing specifically with the issues which I asked it to consider.
