§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how much the value of the funds credited to the Treasury from the Regional Development Fund of the EEC was during the last financial year for projects intended to aid regional development in the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. Joel BarnettReceipts from the European Regional Development Fund are not credited to the Treasury. Those that contribute towards the cost of national regional assistance to industrial projects and of advance factories are appropriated in aid of the Votes of the responsible Departments. In 1976–77 £18.3 million was credited in this way.
