HC Deb 16 June 1977 vol 933 cc269-70W
Mr. Michael Marshall

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many Government Departments have requested the Office of Population Censuses and Surveys to carry out a survey on their behalf during the last 12 months and have had their request refused.

Mr. Moyle

Whether surveys are done or not is usually decided by consultation between Departments and OPCS. Within the last 12 months surveys proposed by three Departments have, by mutual agreement, not been undertaken by OPCS.
