33. Mr. Hal Miller

asked the Secretary of State for Industry whether it remains his policy that the administration of any textile quotas imposed on Hong Kong should continue to be based on export licences issued in Hong Kong by the Hong Kong Government.

Mr. Cryer

Yes. Quota administration by the Hong Kong Government is specified in the textile agreement with that Government which the EEC Commission negotiated on behalf of all member States.
