I am aware of the suggestions that have been made for the rationalisation and consolidation of wildlife conservation legislation, and my Department is already in touch with the Nature Conservancy Council about the need for and practicability of such a measure. I do not con- 10W sider that a reference to the Law Commission is required at the present time.
