Mr. O'Halloran

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) what was the total annual National Health Service revenue expenditure on services for the mentally ill in the North-East Thames Regional Health Authority for the years 1966 to 1976;

(2) what is the estimated proportion of total National Health Service capital expenditure for the years 1978 to 1988 which will be spent in the North-East Thames Regional Health Authority on services for the mentally handicapped.
