§ Mr. Clemitsonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will list what benefits have been received by Bedfordshire in 269W general and Luton borough in particular under the following EEC sources of aid and finance (a) the Regional Fund, (b) the Social Fund, (c) the Agricultural Fund, (d) the European Investment Fund, and (e) any other project.
§ Mr. Robert SheldonIt is not possible to give a figure for receipts from the European Communities by individual counties or borough. Seventy per cent. of United Kingdom receipts from the European Communities are in respect of the Guarantee Section of the European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund and the refund in relation to the costs of collecting own recources. These cannot be broken down by individual areas. The areas quoted could not benefit from the regional funds, and no projects assisted by the European Investment Bank are situated in the areas mentioned. For other categories of receipts, information is kept centrally on a national basis only.
