§ Mr. MaclennanThe statutory maximum price for a 28 oz. sliced and wrapped standard loaf was 20p on 13th December 1976 and became 24½p on 18th July 1977. I would estimate that over the same period the average price in shops has risen from about 19½p to about 22p a loaf.
