Mr. John Evans

asked the Secretary of State for Energy (1) what savings the UKAEA has made in 1972 monetary values by the reduced number of apprentices in 1977 compared with 1972;

(2) what savings British Nuclear Fuels Ltd. has made in 1972 monetary values by the reduced number of apprentices in 1977 compared with 1972;

(3) how many apprentices British Nuclear Fuels Ltd. intends to recruit in the current year in all departments; and what were the appropriate numbers for each of the last five years;

(4) how many apprentices the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority intends to recruit in the current year, in all departments; and what were the appropriate numbers for each of the last five years.
