§ Mr. Sillarsasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he is yet able to answer the letter from the hon. Member for South Ayrshire which asked him to state the methodology used to determine whether there were incremental costs involved in the recent pay award to the police.
§ Mr. Merlyn ReesIt has been necessary to consult the Police Council on the matter but a reply to the letter from my hon. Gentleman was dispatched on 7th July.
