The figure includes objections subsequently withdrawn. ‡ A single objection may give rise to more than one dispute—e.g., an objection to the registration of any land has to be treated as also being an objection to any registration of rights of common over the land. Consequently, the number of disputes in any county may greatly exceed the number of objections received.
