§ Mr. Ashleyasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list the concessions on car purchase and other forms of mobility help which have been obtained by the Royal Association for Disability and Rehabilitation for disabled people and indicate to whom such concessions are available.
§ Mr. Alfred MorrisI am glad to say that in consultation with me and my Department, the Royal Association for Disability and Rehabilitation—formerly the Central Council for the Disabled— has now been instrumental in arranging a number of very worthwhile concessions for disabled people on a range of goods and services related to mobility. The following list has been compiled with the help of the Royal Association:
present and to whom he referred in his letter to the hon. Member for Holland with Boston dated 9th February 1977
§ Mr. Denis HowellI have been asked to reply.
As I stated in reply to a question by the hon. Member on 13th June 1977—[Vol.
429W933, c. 89-90]—procurement of hydro-fluorosilicic acid and other substances for fluoridation of water supplies is the responsibility of the individual statutory water undertakers. Officials of this Department do, however, work closely with the water authorities in ensuring that the substances used are satisfactory in their composition.
