HC Deb 21 January 1977 vol 924 cc379-80W
Mr. Grylls

asked the Secretary of State for Industry if the National Enterprise Board will be authorised to make overdraft arrangements with its bankers in accordance with Section 2 of the Industry Act 1975; and if there is any special reason why this provision has been omitted from the Schedule to the NEB Guidelines published on 23rd December 1976.

Mr. Les Huckfield

The necessary authority had already been given.

Mr. Grylls

asked the Secretary of State for Industry following his answer to the hon. Member for Surrey, North-West on 18th January which creditor of a subsidiary or associate company of the NEB has been given a guarantee by the Government; what is the limit of the guarantee; what is the duration of the guarantee; and which subsidiary or associate company of the NEB is concerned.

Mr. Les Huckfield

I would refer the hon. Member to the statement in this House on 22nd February 1973 by the hon. Member for Woking (Mr. Onslow).—[Vol. 851, c. 109.]
