§ Mr. John Mooreasked the Secretary of State for Industry in each of the last 15 years, what were the total sums for investment provided from: (a) internally generated funds, including reinvested profits, (b) equity raised publicly, (c) debt raised publicly or from financial institutions and (d) funds advanced by Government in the United Kingdom, the USA 379W and West Germany; and what percentages of total investment these figures represent in each category.
§ Mr. Les HuckfieldIndvidual sources of companies' funds cannot be related to particular uses of funds. Statistics of the sources and uses of United Kingdom companies' funds are published regularly in "Financial Statistics". They were analysed in an article on the "Structure of company financing" published in the September 1975 issue of "Economic Trends" which is to be brought up to date shortly in an article in Trade and Industry. Some international comparisons may be made from the annual OECD publication "Financial Statistics".
