§ Mr. Roseasked the Secretary of State for Employment how many persons have been employed in the Greater Manchester area under the job creation programme; and what has been the average employment period.
§ Mr. GoldingI am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that 163 projects have been approved in the greater Manchester area providing a total of 1,511 jobs. The average duration of these projects is 37 weeks.
§ Mr. Roseasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he will circulate in the Official Report a list of job creation programmes under way or proposed in the Greater Manchester area.
