§ Mr. Brothertonasked the Secretary of State for Employment what is the cost to public funds of Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service; and how many people it employs.
§ Mr. Harold Walker,pursuant to the reply [Official Report, 23rd December 1976; Vol. 923, c. 316], gave the following information:
The cost to public funds in 1976–77 of the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service is expected to be about £6.6 million. The service employs 774 staff, including eight servicing the Certification Officer and 18 the Central Arbitration Committee.
