Mr. John. H. Osborn

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the total value of sums claimed in 1976 in back taxation by those retiring from active employment, whether in cases of men reaching the age of 65 years or of women reaching the age of 60 years, or for other reasons; and how much of this was due to clerical and similar errors within the Inland Revenue.
